So many spiritual teachers for many thousands of years have said it over and over: The number way to ‘tap ‘in’ to the Creator, the Divine, to Knowing….is to be still. Be quiet. To Meditate. What I’m learning is that I can let go of my questions and fears and just meditate and then there is this un-winding that occurs. This clarity that happens. So, there’s not better time to start than now. You don’t have to believe anything in particular, no religion affiliation required. We all come together as one mind when we’re tapped into the Divine. when we are listening to the heart of the Creator, to Source, it’s just one stream of info. It’s hard for a lot of people who seem to ‘have all the answers’ and ‘know the way’ to let go of the possibility that EVERYONE has access to God. But even Jesus Christ taught this great truth, sharing it many times, “The Kingdom of Heaven is Inside you.” And if you listen, “You will find me there” and when you need to know which way to go, “Be still & Know.” My confidence in where my Spirit and soul comes from is big enough to know that in the stillness I feel complete and peaceful and Know. So my intent with the Meditation Experiment (join us on Facebook!) is to give a space for others to encourage each other and themselves to sit EVERY DAY. No agenda. No affirmations. No needs or supplications, just to be still. And you know, no matter how much of a meditation veteran you are, than just as soon as you start to sit still with a desire to listen, the games begin! Noise, chatter, confusion and everything except that – Stillness. But as we move through the ring of fire that is necessary, no matter how that fire shows up, once we move through the fear of being still and knowing nothing and having no agenda, it’s then that our hearts and minds are opened to the deliciousness of Spirt and Truth. You may not come out, suddenly a scholar that knows everything, but you do come out loving and peaceful. And from a peaceful, non hateful-based space our ability to be more like Christ or Buddha or our parents or those we admire or a leader that is compassionate, not matter who it is, it’s easier to make choices and changes from that space than one of confusion and rage. Peace on Day 2 of the Meditation Experiment – Spring 2012.
Happy Wake Up Day Every One!
Friday was a good day to die. Today, let’s embrace Christ’s Spirit and once for all, stop talking about Love & start Living it. Unconditionally. Fully allowing. And really, truly, we gotta start loving our selves. 1
What a beautiful weekend to stop, then take a look at where we are and how we have been living as the ultimate hypocrites. Stop and see where we’re living lies through idle expressions of religiosity and all our brilliant ideas. Maybe we can look at where we have knowledge but have taken little or no Action? Where we claim to have the Light of Christ’s truth in us, but evidently, no compassion can be found in our choices, coming from our hearts.
If the only real “shift” that occurs in 2012 is the one that happens now, today on Easter Sunday, and we Release and LET GO of old patterns and mental ways of living, then simply put, that is enough. Let’s open our Hearts to the Divine and fully embrace everything we are – through the power of the Resurrection – The light of Jesus the Christ. I have to start with Me.
Blessings to ALL paths and every heart on every Journey and the Journeyer as we all continue, courageously, to move into 2012 and honor the Light within each of us. No exceptions. Can I get an AMEN!?

my childhood and upbringing, even into my early 20′s, the surroundings would have appeared to have been so different from me or who I AM, who I was or how I was destined to evolve. It’s so fascinating to me how little we seem to know, most of the time, when we think we have so much figured out.
Having done so much shadow work in the past 20 years or so, I’ve come to accept what most of the great spiritual teachers, many religious paths and most ancient teachings have taught us: Things (and you!) are perfectly placed, just where and how they are, for you and your Soul’s optimal learning experience.
It’s so easy to to look BACK and see that and acknowledge that, but something I’m really learning in Life right now is it’s the PRESENT where transformation really takes place. It’s the BE HERE NOW ability of our Soulfullness that allows us to even maximize that principal of accepting things just as they are. Nothing can be learned in the past, nothing can be understood in the future. It’s the PRESENT where things are taking place. Yeah, sure, we could get into the semantics of all of that go even deeper, but you know what I mean, right? That hardest thing for me to do sometimes.
To stop, be quiet and to listen so simply is so powerful. To listen and to hear our heart beat in our feet. To feel the breathe move from our nostril down to our navel. To sense the wetness of our tongue as we swallow. Simply. Listening. Experiencing. Being here, in the now.
My intention this Spring, at least in this moment, is to Be Here Now…more often. To call myself to the Present. To give up my frustrations with myself and to expect less from me and especially from others. To give in this moment what I can give while fully being Present, in the moment.
I’m watching as people all around are becoming more anxious. So many are going over the edge. Maybe I’ve been one of those in a lot of ways. Calling ourselves into the Present is a simple and powerful way to just relax. Just let go. Because here, now, is perfect, just as it is. PP

Just a reminder to all the losers, strugglers, addicts, liars, deceptive partners, those who have the big challenge of doing what you know could do for the best life, for you. And for those who think it’s all about DOING right or BEING a certain way, it’s not. It’s about embracing the whole. Being full. Being who we are. Even if you compare it to Jesus the Christ, he struggled. It was his Shadow that brought him his greatest opportunities to choose. Drop your stones. Be easy on yourself. Realize, if you’re gifted to have great big shadows, then you’re gifted to have great big Light. Huge, big Light. Look up Brother! Look up Sister! You are headed home. You’ve only started to let go of the limits of your self shame that keep you from showing up for yourself and others. And its up to you to embrace the darkest night, the darkest part and have it replaced for the brightest day, ever. You’re not damaged, you’re Divine. Let go of the shame and judgment these people tell you you need to have in order to be humble enough to be redeemed. You need nothing except you’re willingness to forgive yourself. You are a child of God. You come from the Light. You are Divine and you are delicious in the eyes of the Presence that gives you Glory. Look up! Look within! Embrace your good and know your God. Aho!
And, if you’re lucky enough be embraced by the Shadow….”Those who stand closest to the Light, cast the biggest shadows.” – Jung

I just get a bit confused for all the people that talk about wanting to go ‘back to the ethics of our founding father’…or the ‘principles of the godly men who founded this country’… I mean, seriously. I’m open to seeing it differently. But don’t people realize that the founding fathers didn’t believe in the rights of women? They believed, the majority of them (at least the ones that signed the Constitution!) that women were subservient. They believed that blacks ‘might’ possibly deserve ‘some’ rights, but certainly not EQUAL rights. As a matter of fact most of the “founding Fathers” owned slaves. George Washington had his teeth replaced with REAL teeth! Guess where he got them? He had them yanked out of the head of one of his slaves! No, he wasn’t dead. The slave I mean. He was alive and George wanted his beautiful smile. Now, I’m as open minded as the next liberal, but I just don’t understand. The way that most believers or religious people worship in their church nowadays would be totally unacceptable back then. The Founding Fathers believed that there was one way to be respectful in the church. That was be quiet and listen. They believed in one interpretation – the one given in England – and if you veered more than a particular, acceptable measure, you were in violation of what was acceptable. Can you imagine?? If most people honored the Founding Fathers way to worship, or celebrate in their churches, they would probably be thrown in Jail. Do you see what I’m saying???? Don’t people see that things have changed? Of course if 1/2 the population wasn’t female, maybe women would still be required to stay at home, be quiet in the church and certainly not have a say in how things go in Society OR Government! And certainly blacks would still be sitting in the back of the bus and probably quietly, still being used as concubines for the elite and powerful. Certainly they would still be being used, openly and without excuse. I don’t know. I just think it’s such denial to go on and one about ‘the principles this country was founded on!’. I think those principles, overall, other than FREEDOM FOR ALL, and ALL didn’t have it!…I think mostly the people have spoken in the last 200 and some years and said something’ ain’t right. Rights for everyone! Freedom for all! Equal justice for the unlovely and those we disagree with and those that believe differently and within an ancient, acceptable guideline for community (not hurting another), are allowed to believe what they believe and live how they want to live! Aside from the fact that most of the people screaming from the pulpit, from the podium at the caucuses, from the editorials in the conservative (and quiet honestly, often liberal) publications are pretty much violating all the principles that THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON. Aside from that, I think most of us would agree….we don’t want to go back. We want to honor freedom and rights and equal justice for ALL. We want to be progressive in how much we learn and we change because of discovery that ‘the planet ain’t flat with four corners!’ Just my thoughts tonite. I’m sure I’m probably whacked, but if another person tries to take my rights away as a tax-paying, liberal homo or if I hear that another group is trying to ban my right to a marriage that mostly does nothing but offer me the rights for humane treatment as an American and protects my rights as a human being, if another group tries to make me small because they themselves can’t meet up to their own judgmental, attitudinal ‘patriotism’..i just might say somethin’ about it.
I mean, don’t people know that if you’re going to use the bible for condemning gays, divorced people and a mirage of other current violation ‘of the rules’…then you’d better also, execute (in public) those who eat shrimp, kill the kids in a stoning when they speak back to their parents, cut off the hands of those who wear dyed or colored wool and openly stone anyone who commits adultery. After all, this IS in the bible and it IS actually in the same chapter where so many of the other “guidelines of the founding fathers” exist Ok, enough already Paul! Peace out. I think this years political race is going to be so frickin fun!!! Here we go!!! Paul

Reminder (to myself and others): Life is supposed to be Fun! Perspective is everything. Lighten up. Change your mind. Shift the way you’re seeing things and suddenly you see the happier side of it all! It’s so easy to get dense, heavy, negative and depressed, focusing on what’s wrong with something or everything! But literally with a simple switch of Perspective – changing the way you are looking at things, everything changes! Shifts. Quickly, you feel and see the same things – differently! Don’t worry, you won’t go over the deep end drowning while in denial. Of course if you do die happy, wouldn’t you rather die with a smile on your face and in denial than miserable, whining to prove your point?
Enjoy your day! Blessings on feeling better about things…. Paul P
